Prime Minister Boyko Borisov gave a symbolic start to the payment of funds under the direct payments campaign per area for 2010 at Ministry of Agriculture and Food. Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov, the political cabinet of the Ministry and the Executive Director of State Fund Agriculture Svetoslav Simeonov were present at the ceremony.
The funds under the 2010 campaign amounted to BGN 1.018 milliard, out of which BGN 83 million has already been paid to farmers reminded Minister Naydenov. The Minister pointed out that he has kept his promise to farmers and a day earlier than the deadline -15 March, the payment of funds is launched. "We continue to work in this rhythm and spirit," said Prime Minister and congratulated Minister Naydenov and his team for the job well done.
The Minister informed further that some of the farmers have not paid their liabilities to the state, so they will initially received only the European funds to be able to liquidate their obligations to the NRA and then they will receive the funds for national payments. "For the first time, we will separate the funds so everybody to receive all European funds and be able to pay their obligations to the NRA and after that they will receive the rest of funds - national payments. There is a SFA team at the NRA, which works in order all 91,000 beneficiaries to get their money. This is done only in Bulgaria. ", informed Minister Naydenov.
