The Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov announced at a press conference held at Ministry of Agriculture and Food, that an inquiry has been made by the veterinary services in Germany in connection with cases of dyoxine found in eggs and food for animals in the province of Lower Saxony.

The European Commission has a system for immediate notification of member states in case of export of such consignments of meat or eggs toward the relevant country. There are not such signals for consignments sent to Bulgaria, said the minister. However, he has ordered the SVSCS to carry out checks in the commercial network and fodder mixes.

"Bulgaria is not an importer of eggs and poultry meat from Germany, "added Minister Naydenov.
