Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Georgi Kostov met with the National Association of Non-State Forests Owners "Gorovladelets" in the town of Chepelare. Participation of the Association in the drafting of regulations pursuant to which the newly adopted Forestry Law will be applied, as well as the guidelines of the activities of the association in terms of the reforms in the forestry sector.ware outlined and discussed at the meeting.
Deputy Minister Kostov announced that the position of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food is to continue the dialogue with all interested parties in the reforms of the sector. The main points of the Law, concerning the owners of non-state forests, as well as the opportunities for development of private business in the forestry sector
were also presented and discussed.
The meeting was attended by Governor of Smolyan, Stefan Staykov and MP from GERB, Nicholay Melemov.
