For second year, voluntary and with desire, farmers from Sofia District provided part of their production to Home for orphans “St. Nicolay” in village of Novi Han, Elin Pelin District. The idea for creating of such good traditions is to Regional Directorate of State Fund “Agriculture” – Sofia District.
In the house live 145 persons, as the younger member of this family is two months old. Father Ivan has sheltered 40 homeless in village of Yakimovo, Montana District. Each family will receive a half pig for Christmas – from the personal farm of orphans’ home. There are bred sheep, goats, calves, pigs, hens… Still, the basic food of people living in the home comes from donation. Exactly in this charity initiative again farmers from Sofia District participated. Among biggest donators are Slavcho Chervenkov from village of Popovyane, Emil Temkin from village of Kivachevtsi, Yordan Velichkov from Botevgrad.
