Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Georgi Kostov took part in the ninth regular meeting of the Board of Municipal Forests Association where he discussed the adopted Forestry Law and the challenges it puts before the municipalities. Deputy Minister Kostov outlined the main points that are directly related to management of municipal forests under the new law and put a stress on the significant contribution, as well as the active and fruitful participation of the Association in its drafting. Its members expressed the opinion that the adoption of the law is clear success, thus creating real conditions for municipal forests to be managed sustainably according to the EU requirements.
