Deputy Minister Georgi Kostov met with veterans of agricultural science. Among those were – Prof. V. Lazarov, Prof. V. Hristov, Prof. T. Darzhanov, Prof. N. Todorov and Prof. A. Ganev.
At the meeting the most important short term and long term tasks were discussed, as well as in particular the future work of Agricultural Academy. The Professors who were at the meeting support the idea that changes in structure and organization of the Academy should lead to its democratization and approach to farmers. General opinion was that Academy’s structures have to be reformed smoothly to the necessary dialogue between all interested parties and without of political pressure.
