The Minister of Agriculture Ivan Ivanov and the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of RSM Ljupcho Nikolovski signed Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the field of agriculture, agricultural sciences, rural areas and forestry between the two ministries. This became clear after the joint meeting in Sofia of the governments of Bulgaria and North Macedonia.
This memorandum will give us the opportunity to specify priority topics for partnership in the field of agriculture for both countries," said Minister of Agriculture Dr. Ivan Ivanov. According to him, today's meeting is a manifestation of the desire to deepen the existing relations and to seek concrete mutually beneficial results.
The document envisions deepening co-operation between the two countries in the field of agriculture through the exchange of scientific and technical information and the transfer of expertise. The sharing of good practices, development and implementation of joint research projects and cross-border cooperation in the field of rural areas is envisaged. The Bulgarian side undertakes to share its experience regarding the implementation of the EU Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance
