Kosovo is interested in import of food products from Bulgaria. That was explained by Minister of Agriculture, Forests and Rural Development of Kosovo Blerand Stavilechi after the meeting with Bulgarian Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov in Prishtina. “We are interested in trade increasing”, said Minister Stavilechi. “Except this Kosovo searches opportunities for foreign investments. We hope to create and joint venture enterprises in Kosovo with the participation of Bulgaria”, he added.

“Both countries can cooperate in veterinary, land relations and forestry”, announced Minister Naydenov. He added that Bulgaria can provide for Kosovo wheat, oil, dairy products, poultry meat, eggs, and flour, sugar and grain products.

Minister Stavilechi explained that Kosovo is going to alleviate administrative and bureaucratic obstacles to business. At the moment there is an obstacle with veterinarian and bureaucratic certificate, which are not synchronized between the two countries. Ministers promised that Bulgarian Food Safety Agency and Veterinary Agency of Kosovo begin to work for removing the problem.
