Within a month Bulgaria will start exporting chicken meat to Jordan, said Yordan Voynov, Head of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency.He is part of the official Bulgarian delegation to Jordan, led by Agriculture Minister Miroslav Naydenov."The export will initially start with  5 containers per month , which is about 100 tons," Voynov said.

The import of fruits and vegetables from Jordan will continue, but their quality will have to be proven through laboratory tests, said Minister Naydenov after the delegation’s visit in the greenhouses for vegetables, strawberries and orange orchards in the Jordan Valley “I am overwhelmed by the scale of the vegetable production in the country .The whole valley is full with greenhouses and this is the main livelihood of the people”, said further Minister Naydenov. “Therefore Bulgaria will provide laboratory equipment, which would help local producers to test their products before their export Bulgaria will also help Jordan with training for specialists who will be working in the laboratory.”, he asaid

Today,  Minister Naydenov opened a business forum in  the Industry Chamber of the Kingdom of Jordan. He thanked for the huge interest of Jordanian business companies to our country. "Everything we saw and our meetings with the business representatives are encouraging. There is mutual interest  to increase trade between the two countries and in particular in the agricultural sector, "said Minister Naydenov at  the forum. He said that our country is committed to removing administrative barriers in trade and cooperation on food safety. In his words so our country will be gararant for Jordanian products in the EU and Jordan to be the guarantor of our products in the Arabian world.

On Monday, Naydenov is expected to visit hunting reserves of the Royal Hunting Club, where he will make a donation of 100 fallow deer to increase the diversity in the hunting areas.
