Today a meeting of the Monitoring Committee for Rural Development Program 2007-2013 has been held chaired by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Svetlana Boyanova. In the presence of representatives of General Directorate “Agriculture” to the European Commission and Management of State Fund “Agriculture” – Paying Agency program progress was discussed, well as the proposals for measures, with the help of which Ministry of Agriculture and Food relies on for acceleration of funds absorption under RDP. At the Committee, proposals made by Ministry of Agriculture and Food to ease the procedure of receiving advanced payments under investment measures and “Leader” Program were also discussed.
Monitoring Committee evaluated the work and approved undertaken measures for accelerating the Program as it recommended the continuation of their application. Advanced payments, which are 50% for all beneficiaries will be granted by another financial instruments, equivalent to bank guarantee, not only under it, how it is at the moment.
The initiative of Executive Forestry Agency for open permanent acceptance from September to the end of the year under Forest Measures – 223 “Initial afforestation of non-agricultural lands” and Measure 226 “Restoration of Forestry Potential and Implementation of Prevention Activities” was approved. The limit under Measure 223 has been removed, as the restriction for afforestation per hectare remains
