Tomorrow, October 13, 2011 in Plovdiv will be hold a "Day of agri-ecology" as part of a campaign to promote organic products "BioMania 2011". The event includes a bazaar exhibition, tasting a variety of organic products from different regions of the country. Among the exhibitors there will be bio producers of walnuts and hazelnuts from the town of Kardzhali, sesame seeds, tahini and wine from the Eastern Rhodopes and the town of Ivaylovgrad. Specialties from sheep's milk from the region of Momchilovtsi, buffalo products (cheese, pastirma and sujuk-dry spicy sausage) from Rusenski Lom, juices and aronia wine from Ruse and fresh and canned vegetables from Plovdiv and Pazardzhik can be also tasted at the event.

"Day of agri-ecology" will be held at the Agricultural University in cooperation with the "Bioselena" Foundation and the Bulgarian Society for Protection of Birds BSPB - Plovdiv. The opening is at 11.00 am, and the exhibition will continue the whole day.

Biomania 2011 campaign aims to promote organic farming in Bulgaria as well as the healthy "bio” way of living. Ministry of Agriculture and Food is the organizer of the initiative, launched on 8 October in the town of Sliven.

The culmination of the events of the campaign will take place this Saturday - October 15, when simultaneously in three cities outdoor festivals and exhibitions of bio products will be held. The events will take place in Sofia, Burgas and Chiprovtsi.
