Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov traditionally trimmed vines in the massif of vineyards of 3000 decares in the "Bessa Valley” Winery, near the village of Ognyanovo, Pazardzhik Municipality on the occasion of St.Trifon's Day of wine. During his visit Minister Naydenov talks with the prominent French oenologist Marc Dworkin, chief expert of Enira wines at the winery. The Minister congratulated Mr. Dworkin for the wonderful blend that has been created in the winery, owned by Count Stephan von Neipperg.
Minister Naydenov expressed his satisfaction with the increased export of Bulgarian wines in the past year.Wine export for 2010 grew with about 10% compared with the the previous one or 57 million and 683 thousand liters. Traditional quality Bulgarian wines arecoming back on the market in the Middle East. Bulgaria's main export is aimed at Russia, Poland, Britain, Czech Republic, Lithuania and Germany as bottled wines take the largest share of exports, accounts for about 80% of the total export. He highlighted progress of about 78% in the utilization of funds under the the program’s restructuring and conversion of vineyards measure.
Executive Director of the Winery Mr. Ivailo Antonov said that the winery has contracted with Lufthansa aircompany for the supply of wines and received greetings from Minister Naydenov, who stressed that this would help to promote the fame of Bulgarian wine.
