To September 16 contractors can apply with projects’ proposals for investing in energy production from biomass under Rural Development Program (RDP) 2007-2013. That was announced by Diana Trifonova, expert from “Rural Development” Directorate of Ministry of Agriculture and Food during a conference with farmers and manufacturers in Shumen. This type of investment proposals are financed under Measure 123 “Adding value to agricultural and forestry products” of RDP. Candidates under this measure can receive European funds for activities, related to processing and/or marketing of agricultural products, including dairy, meat and apian products, grain, technical and medical crops, vegetable and animal oil and fat, fruits and vegetables, fodder, grape must, wine and vinegar.
Within the discussion for Rural Development Program in Shumen, were presented different opportunities for financing of dairying enterprises, mills, fodder enterprises and enterprises for processing of sunflower oil with funds of European budget. The held meeting with contractors from Region of Shumen was part of the Campaign “Days of open doors” under RDP 2007-2013 of MAF, which was attended by experts from National Agricultural Advisory Service.
