Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Minister Naydenov met with farmers in Gotse Delchev.

"What we took as a commitment, it fulfilled. By the end of August will be transferred the remaining BGN 35 million for tobacco producers. I would like to tell you that all this is possible because of the personal intervention of the Prime Minister, because this money was not set in the republican budget”, said Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov at the meeting with farmers in Gotse Delchev. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Tzvetan Dimitrov, Executive Director of the State Fund "Agriculture" Rumen Porozhanov and deputies of the Blagoevgrad region.

"It was very difficult to find this money, but the fact is that it has already been transferred in your accounts," said Prime Borisov. He pointed out that for the first quarter of this year Bulgaria has marked a growth in food products export by 41%. "Due to the ruling of GERB export of agricultural production has increased by US 1 milliard. In the future we will increase that amount much more because the world needs food and Bulgaria is a heavenly place with its nature and those hard-working people who live here”, stressed the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister said that advances in infrastructure projects under the Rural Development Programme for Gotse Delchev, Satovcha, Khadzhidimovo and Petrich are now being transferred.

“BGN 70 million is scheduled to be paid for tobacco sector this year. The first tranche of BGN 35 million was transferred yesterday and by the end of August will be transferred the remaining BGN 35 million for tobacco producers”, assured the Executive Director of State Fund Agriculture Rumen Porazhanov.

This year animal breeders will be able to rely on more than BGN120 million under various support schemes, added further Executive Director of the SFA.
