Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov and Deputy Ministers Dr. Tsvetan Dimitrov and Svetlana Boyanova participated in work meeting on issue: “New rules in Common Agricultural Policy 2014-2020”, which was held today in Sofia, between Ministry of Agriculture and Food and representatives of branch organizations from non-governmental organizations. During meeting experts from MAF presented the legislative proposals of European Commission related to direct payments and Rural Development Policy for the period after 2013.
During meeting Minister Naydenov showed Bulgarian position for preservation of the two pillars of CAP which is supported by other States Member. “40% of the budget should be for agriculture”, said Minister Naydenov. “It includes and limits for direct payments” he also added to Bulgarian Position. Minister Naydenov appealed to representatives of organizations to participate actively in work groups and not wait the last moment.
