For the period from 28 November to 2 December 2011, the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency carried out a total of 3940official control inspections at the premises of retail and catering, manufacturing plants and warehouses for storage and food trade.

Total number of prescriptions issued - 342;
Total number of acts of administrative violations issued - 128;
Number of closed establishments / establishments with suspended activity - 1;
Amount of prohibited and discarded products - 504 kg

The most common disorders are associated with the current poor hygiene, gaps in self control failure of a control authority, failure to separate the storage of food, lack of supporting documents for the origin of food products, availability of foods without labels, trade food expired.
