Three contracts totaling BGN 663 724 were sealed between Executive Agency for Fishery and Aquacultures (IARA) and beneficiaries under the Fisheries operational programme.

Kavarna-based sole proprietor Meliha Hasanova-Melinda will receive a grant of BGN 62 788 to scrap the Vega fishing vessel with a total length of 9 metres and tonnage of 6,74 GT, aged 26 years.
Varna-based company Hermes 2010 will use a BGN 134 974 grant to scrap the Hermes 2 fishing vessel with a total length of 10,57 m and tonnage of 7,62 GT, aged 20 years.
Elhovo-based Profitera will be awarded a BGN 279 576 grant, or 60% of the approved investment, to build a fish farm near Tundzha river. The facility will replace a disused fish farm. It will produce 23 100 kg for consumption annually. The project will be completed in eight months. Two jobs will be created once it is in operation.
