Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Tsvetan Tsvetanov and Minister of Agriculture and Food Miroslav Naydenov visited the town of Kyustendil, to make an assessment of the finished cherry campaign. The program of the both ministers included a tour at a dried fruits enterprise in village of Razdavitsa, Kyustendil Region, omned by Andon Andonov

At the meeting in village of Dragovishtitsa, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Food Naydenov got acquainted with problems of the people living in the region.

Minister Naydenov urged farmers in the region to unite, as in future programing period of Common Agricultural Policy 2014-2020 an accented will be put on agricultural farms associations. All technical expenditures under its maintenance will be taken by the European Union, including rent of premises, staff salaries, insurances and others.

Minister Naydenov urged farmers to regularly pay their taxes. He explained that in order the government to be able to assist farmers it needs revenues, and these come from paid taxes. At the moment they pay the lowest tax in the country at the rate of 4%, explained the Minister.

During the visit Minister also met with GERB mayor candidates for the region of Kyustendil.

The meeting in the region was organized by Mr. Valentin Mikev, GERB MP, as well as the  the Governor of Kyustendil Mr. Lyubomir Anchev.
