“Bulgaria has sent a report to the World Organisation for Animal Health to receive a disease-free status for classical swine fever”, transpired Minister of Agriculture and Food Desislava Taneva at the meeting with Dr. Monique Eloit, Director General of the World Organisation for Animal Health (0.I.E.). Minister Taneva underlined the importance of the status for our country and insisted that the application to be considered on an expedited basis.

 

During the meeting the possibility of establishing a training center for hunting, on the initiative of the World Hunting Organization was discussed. It is envisaged that the World Organisation for Animal Health to help for its establishment and provide funds for training of hunters.

 

Dr. Damyan Iliev CEO of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency also attended the meeting.
