Organic Farming Department will be established at the Plant Growing Directorate of MAF. We expect every moment the decision for amendments in the Structural Regulation of MAF to be adopted by the Council of Ministers. It envisages 10 experts to organize certification and control the organic products. That was announced by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Miroslav Naydenov during the Green Days Exhibition in front of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre.

Everything that is offered on the market should be subjected to control. In this context, organic products must have clarified origin. We should be guaranteed that what comes on the market with its name is indeed clean organic food, the Minister said.

The leadership of MAF has the ambition to revive the good traditional taste of our meals and the unique taste of Bulgarian products to be remembered and bequeathed to the future generations, added Minister Naydenov.

During the Green Days Exhibition, Minister Naydenov has opened an exhibition stand of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. MAF is a partner of the festival, where traditional Bulgarian food has been presented - green cheese, krokmach, Razlog dedets, raw dried sausages from the village of Gorno Draglishte, unique pumpkins the village of Gorno Draglishte, honey from the village of Rakita, cheese from Karakachan sheep from the Vlahi village and homemade yogurt.

The exhibition will be held within three days - from 15 to 18 April in the garden in front of the theatre. Manufacturers of bio-certified food and cosmetics, active environmental and biodiversity organizations and natural parks will present their goods in specially constructed for that purpose tents.
